A Fashion Fiend // High of 75

These lyrics sum up my last two days. It’s been just beautiful, clear skies,¬†high of 79. I’m starting to embrace the fall and added a scarf to one of my favorite eyelet dresses. Belting my scarf gave me a little shape to my non existent hips. Good trick to have in the bag. Have a great weekend ūüėČ

“And now I’m sunny with a high of 75
Since you took my heavy heart and made it light
And it’s funny how you find, you enjoy your life
When you’re happy to be alive”

A Fashion Fiend // Lovely Blues with Ame & Lulu

4*

I had the pleasure to participate in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Influence Central for Ame & Lulu. I received product samples to facilitate this review.

An avid golfer, Amye Kurson founded Ame & Lulu‚ĄĘ in 2003 after her frustration with the stuffy, monotonous look of traditional activewear reached critical levels. She hungered for stylish accessories she could boast both on and off the course.

From the original Golf Head Covers and bestselling Tennis Backpack to a vast assortment of everyday totes, bags, travel accessories and more, the Ame & Lulu collection embraces a classic, feminine approach to all things active. And as they love to say, getting dressed up is half the fun!

As a blogger I always find myself out all day and night, often unable to get ready at home before my next event. I usually resort to hauling my goodies around with me, which is always a huge hassle! Now, thanks to Ame & Lulu’s classic and colorful accessories tailored for the active lifestyle, pulling this off is a breeze! The Easy Tote is huge, fitting all the¬†stuff I need while zipping¬†around town. I used the smaller Essentials Insert for makeup, and the Keyhole Pouch fits business cards perfectly! This bag literally saved me from lugging around an unreasonable amount of smaller totes. And since these items feature an All-American sophistication, captured in meticulous detail, authentic materials, and high-quality construction, I am never at a loss for style!

A Fashion Fiend // Fashion Law

Hey guys! I wanted to share with you a fashion seminar taking place this weekend in Arizona during the Business of Fashion Series presented by Phoenix Fashion Week. This is an important opportunity to talk face to face with an attorney about your brand.

I highly¬†suggest taking¬†this course, especially for bloggers. Most of us run our own blogs and just have no clue about people using our pictures, taking our ideas, etc. We need to know how to safeguard ourselves. Talia’s training is the best legal advice you will ever get and straight from an attorney’s mouth. Talia is captivating, extremely intelligent and will empower you to promote and grow your brand with outstanding confidence. Looking forward to seeing all of our AZ peeps there!

Phoenix associate, Talia J. Offord will present at Phoenix Fashion Week on Saturday, October 4th. ¬†Ms. Offord‚Äôs presentation is titled ‚ÄúFashion Law: Protecting Your Brand.‚ÄĚ This presentation, one of the more popular topics at the event, will highlight the legal aspects of brand management. These aspects include trademark, intellectual property and copyright issues. The goal of her presentation is to provide practical advice to attendees wishing to establish a legally strong brand. ~Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith

A Fashion Fiend // David Peck-Fashion Meets Hospitality

I wore this oxblood monochrome outfit to David Peck‘s show debuting his Fall/Winter 2014 collection. I love the deeper colors that get incorporated into my wardrobe as the weather cools down. Monochrome is a tricky style for me as I’m always trying to pop in color. But when I saw this matching crop and skirt- I went for it!

A Fashion Fiend // My Woman from Tokyo

TGIF everyone, made it through another week of crazy events and trunk shows! Wore this little number to a boutique party and it was literally the talk of the evening. This dress is so damn chic, I instantly fell in love. I paired it with my my Michael KORS Hamilton, which was perfect because my camera fit in it when I needed to be hands free! No one can tell me not to wear white after Labor Day! Have a great weekend.

A Fashion Fiend // On Repeat

I love these joggers, they’re a perfect transition piece. The fabric made them easy to wear during the hot summer months and the color helps me rotate them in my closet through the fall. I also snagged this asymmetrical, wrap top at Nordstrom’s Rack and fell in love. Another favorite are these new Elaine Turner two-tone heels that I snagged on sale! They go with everything! Hope you guys are getting some nice weather. Fall is my favorite season, and I’ve been preparing my house with all of my Autumn decorations. Smells of pumpkin spice and I couldn’t be happier.

Teen Style Tuesday // Homecoming

Hi guys! I have missed you all so much! This year has been so crazy already! Adjusting to high school has been harder that I thought! I am loving every minute of it though, and have even made some amazing new friends!

Last weekend was my HS Homecoming dance! I was asked by a good friend from last year a few weeks prior and was so thrilled to go! The day of the dance I did all of my primping before we had dinner with our huge group!! My bestie, Olivia’s date was my dates twin brother so you know we had a freaking blast! Talk about awesome times. Best dance so far this year! Hope you all are having a fab time in school as well! HS swim team practice starts today, wish me luck! Have a breezy week and enjoy the weather!

A Fashion Fiend // Relaunch Party with Chef Roble’

Hello hip people! Last week I had the honor of attending Bravo tv’s, Chef Roble’s, perfume launch party hosted at Carrie Ann Boutique. The night was filled with bloggers and stylists from all around town, that were able to sample Roble’s perfume while sipping on wine and chatting with the one and only Carrie Ann Sanders. The store offered a 20% off special that night, so snagging a few dresses I had my eye on was all too easy. The night was a huge success; the Chef has got it down in the scent department. World famous chef, television star, scent creator, what will Roble do next?!!

A Fashion Fiend // Short Business

What a week!! Back to business after a whirlwind of events. Now, the industry has pulled out their fall clothes, but Houston has not gotten the memo. It’s still pretty warm and rainy of all things! A total bummer. I mixed in another pair of bermuda shorts to stay nice and cool while running from one place to the next. Off I go! ¬†Have a great weekend.

A Fashion Fiend // A New York State of Mind

Fashion week may be over for the season in NYC but events in H-town ware quickly growing. With the fashion crowd back in town, I have a very busy next 3 weeks ahead. ¬†Fall is here and while the weather is trying to catch up, I’m stuck in a wardrobe transitional phase. This maxi is light enough to keep me from getting over heated during the day and I added this printed shawl as the sun goes down. Can’t wait to get out my boots!! Maybe next week.
