A Fashion Fiend // Lovely Blues with Ame & Lulu

I had the pleasure to participate in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Influence Central for Ame & Lulu. I received product samples to facilitate this review.

An avid golfer, Amye Kurson founded Ame & Lulu™ in 2003 after her frustration with the stuffy, monotonous look of traditional activewear reached critical levels. She hungered for stylish accessories she could boast both on and off the course.

From the original Golf Head Covers and bestselling Tennis Backpack to a vast assortment of everyday totes, bags, travel accessories and more, the Ame & Lulu collection embraces a classic, feminine approach to all things active. And as they love to say, getting dressed up is half the fun!

As a blogger I always find myself out all day and night, often unable to get ready at home before my next event. I usually resort to hauling my goodies around with me, which is always a huge hassle! Now, thanks to Ame & Lulu’s classic and colorful accessories tailored for the active lifestyle, pulling this off is a breeze! The Easy Tote is huge, fitting all the stuff I need while zipping around town. I used the smaller Essentials Insert for makeup, and the Keyhole Pouch fits business cards perfectly! This bag literally saved me from lugging around an unreasonable amount of smaller totes. And since these items feature an All-American sophistication, captured in meticulous detail, authentic materials, and high-quality construction, I am never at a loss for style!

Teen Style Tuesday- Formal Decisions

Hello my friends!! I am so excited for this week to be over because this Saturday is Spring Formal! I have tried on so many dresses but have narrowed it down to these 5. I knew I wanted a short dress but I was open to color and style. My fam pushed a pink dress but I feel like I wear that color a lot so, maybe not for my first dance. I’ll be making my ‘formal decision’ tomorrow so next week’s post will have the dress I chose! Have a great week and don’t forget about all of the great Moms on Sunday! Happy weekend and have a Happy Mother’s Day!

From Day to Night

I’ve been living in these boots for the last two weekends and I have to share how much I love them. Boots are definitely a favorite of mine and I was lucky enough to get to style two looks for shoe company, DUO. I have really slim calves and I am constantly missing out on knee high boots because the “average” calf size is too big for me. This company shows you how to measure your feet and calves for precise fit and comfort, so each pair is custom fit for you. This makes for a more polished look whether you’re wearing them in the office or for a night out on the town. The style of these boots is so versatile and the comfort will have you wearing them from day and night.

Teen Style Tuesday- Dressing for Brunch

Happy middle of the week friends! We have off on Friday so today is mid week for me! Yay!! I’m super excited for Easter, my Mom always wears a big hat and my fam goes to a nice, fancy restaurant. Dressing for Easter brunch is a lot of fun however it’s different than regular Sunday morning meals. Because it’s a holiday, it automatically calls for a more elaborate outfit, which is so awesome because… I get a new dress! Hooray! I have narrowed down my favorite looks for brunch this year but I have’t settled on one yet. We’ll see what I decided on next Tuesday! Have a great short week and a Happy Easter!

Teen Style Tuesday- Birthday Edition!

Hi friends!! So sorry for the delayed post but this weekend was my birthday!! My parties started off with a surprise limo pick up from school and hibachi dinner with my best friends! It was so amazing, all swag in the limo, I felt so cool! Day 2 was shopping at the gigantic Galleria mall. It was exhausting but I got a ton of new clothes thanks to my birthday money 😉 My last party was on St. Patty’s day, where my parents rented out a whole theatre for my friends and I to have a private movie screening! It was amazing to have an entire theatre for my party!! The rest of the week is spring break so I’ll be back with my vacation update on Tuesday! Hope you’re having a great week!

Happy Birthday to me!!!

To Plaid

I love the winter weather but keeping warm is a constant battle. I’m a desert girl and growing up we rarely had any winters that would require more than a light jacket. I’ve become a huge fan of winter white and think it adds such a stark contrast to the darker colors that are associated with the cooler months. Lately the 90’s have brought on so many street style looks and as a huge 90’s fan, I was in. I dressed up my over sized, grunge inspired plaid shirt with some faux leather pants and Voila! Outfit nirvana. This white trench spoke to me, it is so fresh compared to the black coats I usually wear. The coat brings out the more subtle colors in my shirt and ultimately brightens up the whole outfit. I’ve worn this ensemble on two different occasions; lunch meeting and dinner in the city. Both times I was comfortable, warm but mostly I looked great with very minimal effort. Great day to night outfit.

Teen Style Tuesday- Gift Guide

Hey friends!!!

I can’t believe it’s already the Holiday season. With finals coming up, I started getting my gift list in order and I thought I would share my top picks. And with Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming up, getting these gifts at a great price is going to be easy peasy!

For Sisters or BFF’s– Love this lip color from Catbird. It can jazz up any boring outfit and looks so good on everyone!

For Mom and Grandmom’s– For the mature ladies in my life, I choose these super soft, cashmere lined gloves. They are on sale and compatible for tech savvy Grandmom’s that take way too many iPad photos. (Love you, MomMom)

For Him-I saw these custom hats and knew they were the perfect gift. You can add your guys favorite colors and letter. Super personal and from the heart.

Hope this helps a bit with your holiday gift guide! Let me know if you need any other personal shopping advice! I’d love to hear from you! Have a Happy Thanksgiving! I’m so grateful for you all!

Houndstooth in the Rain

The weather in Houston is so up and down and it seems like its impossible to look cute during a down pour. There is a rainy season in every season here in Houston so, when I had to get ready for a day of errands in the wet weather, I was so happy to find a cute and comfortable combo that would keep me dry and stylish while running around. Houndstooth is such a classic print and I adore it! I actually scored these rain boots on sale randomly at Target. I paired it with black skinny jeans and a knit sweater that kept me dry but wasn’t too hot. I threw on an oxblood colored scarf for a pop of color and to put around my shoulders if I got chilly. A perfect paring for the fickle weather in H-town.
