These lyrics sum up my last two days. It’s been just beautiful, clear skies, high of 79. I’m starting to embrace the fall and added a scarf to one of my favorite eyelet dresses. Belting my scarf gave me a little shape to my non existent hips. Good trick to have in the bag. Have a great weekend 😉

I wore this oxblood monochrome outfit to David Peck‘s show debuting his Fall/Winter 2014 collection. I love the deeper colors that get incorporated into my wardrobe as the weather cools down. Monochrome is a tricky style for me as I’m always trying to pop in color. But when I saw this matching crop and skirt- I went for it!
Hello hip people! Last week I had the honor of attending Bravo tv’s, Chef Roble’s, perfume launch party hosted at Carrie Ann Boutique. The night was filled with bloggers and stylists from all around town, that were able to sample Roble’s perfume while sipping on wine and chatting with the one and only Carrie Ann Sanders. The store offered a 20% off special that night, so snagging a few dresses I had my eye on was all too easy. The night was a huge success; the Chef has got it down in the scent department. World famous chef, television star, scent creator, what will Roble do next?!!
I added some floral into my usual mundane Monday routine. This matching outfit really brightened up my day. Custom women’s clothing line, eShakti, did an amazing job on these pieces, fits perfectly! Also, any piece with pockets is a hit in my book. Cheers to a good week.
Happy hump day people. This week has been straight up crazy with all of the Mother’s Day preparations and luncheons I’m attending. The weather has been nice and sunny lately, which keeps me in a good mood; and I have been enjoying the natural scenery outside. I put on this outfit with that just in mind, kind of blending into the background. This vintage leather skirt was a super find and it is Pantone’s color of the year, radiant orchid, score! Ok, I’m off! Have a great day!
I love dressing up for special occasions and especially stepping outside of the “norm”. Brunch this weekend I picked this lace dress in ivory. With all of the brightly colored easter eggs, baskets and formal dress shopping (more on that later), I was burnt out and wanted to keep my outfit in the neutral zone. I originally had on bright pink wedges but quickly changed my mind and stuck with my theme. Sometimes I just feel like, staying neutral.
Spring events are in filling up my evenings lately like no other. I’ve been so excited about all of the happenings that I had two in one night! It was awesome though, so much fashion and style. My kind of night! The first event was at David Peck’s boutique: Heroes and Handbags event featured the newest clutches and handbags by Houston artist Hanh Tran. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the evening’s sales benefitted Heroes for Children.

My second event of the evening was held at Up restaurant in Highland Village. Presented by Houston Magazine, Men of Style was the theme of the night. We mingled and noshed on tasty apps with local fashionistas and dapper gents. It was the place to be for Houston’s Fashion Elite.
