These lyrics sum up my last two days. It’s been just beautiful, clear skies, high of 79. I’m starting to embrace the fall and added a scarf to one of my favorite eyelet dresses. Belting my scarf gave me a little shape to my non existent hips. Good trick to have in the bag. Have a great weekend 😉
“And now I’m sunny with a high of 75 Since you took my heavy heart and made it light And it’s funny how you find, you enjoy your life When you’re happy to be alive” Relient K
I wore this oxblood monochrome outfit to David Peck‘s show debuting his Fall/Winter 2014 collection. I love the deeper colors that get incorporated into my wardrobe as the weather cools down. Monochrome is a tricky style for me as I’m always trying to pop in color. But when I saw this matching crop and skirt- I went for it!
TGIF everyone, made it through another week of crazy events and trunk shows! Wore this little number to a boutique party and it was literally the talk of the evening. This dress is so damn chic, I instantly fell in love. I paired it with my my Michael KORS Hamilton, which was perfect because my camera fit in it when I needed to be hands free! No one can tell me not to wear white after Labor Day! Have a great weekend.
I love these joggers, they’re a perfect transition piece. The fabric made them easy to wear during the hot summer months and the color helps me rotate them in my closet through the fall. I also snagged this asymmetrical, wrap top at Nordstrom’s Rack and fell in love. Another favorite are these new Elaine Turner two-tone heels that I snagged on sale! They go with everything! Hope you guys are getting some nice weather. Fall is my favorite season, and I’ve been preparing my house with all of my Autumn decorations. Smells of pumpkin spice and I couldn’t be happier.
Fashion week may be over for the season in NYC but events in H-town ware quickly growing. With the fashion crowd back in town, I have a very busy next 3 weeks ahead. Fall is here and while the weather is trying to catch up, I’m stuck in a wardrobe transitional phase. This maxi is light enough to keep me from getting over heated during the day and I added this printed shawl as the sun goes down. Can’t wait to get out my boots!! Maybe next week.
I love the idea of brands that do their part in making the world a better place. Della, a socially responsible fashion company that partners with women in Ghana, West Africa to provide jobs, education and skills training. The beautiful prints are are thoughtfully designed and colored using the traditional Ghanaian dyeing process, making gorgeous one of a kind patterns. Della is now carried in Urban Outfitters and has just launched its Sole Mates line with Vans.
